Former Church of Carmine in Piacenza

Restoration works revealed some interesting details of the decoration.

"The Vault of the Women" representing Our Lady of Mercy with her outspread cloak sheltering the noblewomen from Piacenza who had financially contributed to the construction of the church.

"The Client" – fragment of a 16th century votive fresco found on the triumphal arch of a small chapel sponsored by families from Piacenza.

"Saint James" – fragment of a fresco depicting Saint James, an important saint for the order of the Carmelites, dated 1528.
