Other materials

If restoration means approaching the existing materials, not rarely do we need to deal with less common materials and artefacts.
Also, numerous cases require complex interventions, because materials and artefacts, as well as structures and finishes, are disparate. This means we have to work on different levels simultaneously, on site and in the workshop, for one common purpose, that is, restoring a monumental complex made of different elements.
This makes a great chance for studying and discovering; there, a harmonious result stems from our capacity to incorporate all actions in one vision. That’s exactly what a restoration site is, a place where a building and its ornaments live together and where even an apparently simple intervention will eventually affect the whole context.
